Micah Macbeth

Micah was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in the neighboring suburbs. After spending seven years in Boston, he moved back to his hometown and currently resides in Manayunk. Micah was a triple threat in high school, devoting many hours to baseball, soccer, and wrestling. His passion for wrestling continued into college where he wrestled competitively for the NEU intramural team. Through his experiences as an athlete, Micah soon discovered his love for coaching. He began coaching a youth baseball team, as well as a high school wrestling team in Boston.

Eventually, Micah began searching for more meaning in his life. After weighing his options, including possibly joining the military, he discovered CrossFit on a friend’s Facebook page. He began experimenting with CrossFit training and quickly realized this was something he wanted to pursue further. Ultimately, a passion for helping others inspired him to pursue CrossFit as a career.

CrossFit215 opened its doors in October of 2009 where Micah continues to help others realize and establish their potential as athletes. Some of the greatest moments in his career include completing a half marathon and achieving several coaching milestones. He continues his journey to help transform individuals from all backgrounds into elite athletes and competitors. Through his own experiences, Micah believes, “CrossFit has elicited an intensity in me that spills out into all other facets of my life. As my success in CrossFit increases, so does my quality of life.”
